ABOUT US
Hi, I am Angela Kovaleva, the founder and director of EVA design solutions. I am the principal designer and creator of the products you see on our website, namely party and show costumes, clothing, mascots, cosplay, dance dresses, props, and accessories. I have been working as a designer for more than 20 years. I have a wide range of experiences and skills. I always start my designs from sketches in Photoshop or by hand, and work on the whole collection from start to finish. Costume design is my passion and my destination in life. I am also studying jewelry design in relation to costumes.

My path to a design career was not always a smooth one. I was born in Belarus, a former Soviet Union state, in the city of Vitebsk. From a very young age, I was interested in sewing and design, I experimented with fabrics as a child. However, my family was not supportive of my passion and actively opposed it. I was forced by my relatives to try and study various subjects in hopes that I would forget about design and pick some “normal, honorable and reliable” profession. I studied Economics, Cosmetology, Makeup, and Style. I even had a small business opened related to Cosmetology and Makeup in Moscow. But I could not suppress my passion for design.

Finally, I enrolled in the University of Moscow, School of Design, a bit later in life with a family and two kids at home. The coursework was challenging, but I loved it! In 2005 I graduated with a Designer Degree, and decided to enter a professional competition for young designers "International Fashion Assembly". To my complete surprise, I became a winner of that contest and was awarded the trip to study at the Italian Design Institute "Polymoda" in Florence. My determination and passion were finally getting recognized, I was excited and elated. However, after returning from Italy, I got back into the Cosmetology business since my family was still opposing me from fully pursuing my passion. I was doing design as a hobby, I had an online shop where I was selling kids' costumes for parties, Halloween, and holidays. After just a year of online presence, I had a large number of orders from all kinds of businesses and individuals. This business required a much bigger time commitment from me now and I could no longer hide it from my family.
In a couple of years, I moved to America and had to start everything from scratch, but I was finally free and nothing could stop me now from pursuing my passion for design. I immerse myself in new experiences, new fabrics, textures, patterns, colors, and styles, enjoying anything unusual or unconventional. I love to just fantasize about new designs, and costumes, trying on different combinations of fabrics and textures.
Now, I am proud to introduce our online company, PowerAttire, which sells and rents unique costumes for adults and kids, for parties, shows, holidays, as well as does custom orders of clothing and costumes, and creates complete design solutions for large parties and shows.
I believe that if you have a strong desire and passion for something in life, if your intentions are pure and sincere, and if you move in that direction no matter how hard it is or what the obstacles are, the Universe will help you, it will support your passion. The opportunities will be created for advance and success. You just need to commit yourself to that goal of yours, be a lifetime learner and never stop improving!
